I have an '03 with the original fan in it, and although I know the odds are stacked against me, it hasn't failed yet. I know the day is coming, though, and I'm very reluctant to replace this fan with another OEM fan. I follow the credo "fix it once and fix it right." Thanks, Jim, for your research and work into these solutions, and sharing them with the rest of us. I'm very interested in your final product, and even if the cost of the alternative is higher than the retail price of the OEM fan, it's still cheaper than replacing an OEM fan on a biannual basis.
