Well, here's more good news.
I drove home today in 97 degree weather. The commute today included city driving, slow and go expressway, highway, plenty of acceleration from highway stoplights to 60 mph, and stop and go.
The coolant temperature gauge repeated the same performance as on every other test day so far: never got above the bae of the "2" in "210".
I am now fearless about driving in hot weather, even with the supercharger kit.
