However, they said their diagnostic computer said it was a drive train relay. Ha! that only lasted one day and I had it towed in again. Now they want to replace the ENTIRE FUSE BOX, a five day wait for me.
How do you get these expert technicians to listen? Are there any TSB's that might address the ignition switch problem?
Had the same thing happen to me on the way to the Dragon's Tale run in Maggie Valley. I limped it over to the chevy dealer in Gainesville, GA. The mechanic there was having a problem finding out what was wrong. He finally found it after letting the truck run for a while, then shut it of, and re-started it, or rather tried to. When it wouldn't start the code reader finally sent the code that told him what it was. After replacing the ignition switch I haven't had a problem. Strange how you can let the truck sit for a minute or two, after it shuts down, then re-start it. The mechanic told me that GM had this same problem with earlier models of the Trailblazer, the only solution was the replacement of the switch. Maybe your dealer should check the TSB's on that truck for the ignition problem. Good luck.
