Fan Belt Squeal/ Have Searched and Yet Confused

I searched and read the post concerning fan belt squealing. I still dont really understand what the proper fix is? I get a squealing sound if I get on it hard. Like if I get on it enough for the auto transmission to gear down pretty low and get on the gas pretty hard towards redline then when it shifts it shifts good but I get a squealing sound from under the hood that sounds like the fan belt slipping.
Is there a tech bulletin for this problem? I read about replaceing the alternator?, and the tensioner? Thanks for your suggestions!
