On the LS2 billet emblem, yes, I was disappointed that I could not mount it on the tailgate. Like I said earlier, if someone has successfully mounted this emblem elsewhere, I sure would like to see it. I might then be tempted to relocate mine.
On the bolt caps, each bolt cap has a soft plastic, "3-pronged" (ends turned down) retainer sleeve which you place directly over the hex bolthead. Then you press (hard) to friction fit the chrome bolt cap over all this. I gave you the sizes (flat to flat dimension) of the bolt heads that I placed the chrome bolts caps over. BTW, the bolt caps themselves are chromed steel, not plastic.
I warn you. From past experience, these bolt cap things can get contagious. You start looking for every single bare bolt head you can find and physically get to. I decided to limit it this time to just basically the periphery of the engine compartment, and not get into the engine itself.
