Yes, I agree that a lot of folks want to keep their rides totally stock. But cheap chromed plastic on a $40,000+ vehicle? Sorry, not me.....I like the "heft" and feel of cold steel. Even the stock style door lock knob in steel would have been just fine. Remember, not near as much use of plastic in the "old days".

I too am VERY glad that GM did not choose to mount slides for door locks on the arm rests. That way, it gave those of us who wanted to, another item we could personalize.
