One of the main reasons I come here more than my other favorite site, is because just the things you were referring to has literally destroyed IMHO the best cruise site I know of, Cruisecritic.com with 160,000 members (has even forced some members to form their own cruise website ! ! )
The bickering and bashing over standard lightning rods (smoking, kids on a cruise, jeans in the dining room, bringing booze on board, etc.) petty complaints and trolls from competing cruiselines just takes all the fun out of it.
Machell (wildcat66) would be interested to know a select few of their members have 25,000 posts ! ! (a true clique)
