I have an 04 auto and there is no { clunk } when shifting into second at any temp or throttle setting. I have to believe that these computers are smart enough to compensate for temps w/o any noticeable change to the driver. There are a lot of sharp people on this site that I'm sure will help you figure this out, but I think your dealer might be blowing a little smoke ! ! ! !
