If the seat is too firm, and you want to soften certain parts of the seat, go to an upholstery shop where they can remove the seat cover and drill holes in the foam. They use a foam coring saw on a drill, much like the type used for drilling lock holes in doors. This will soften up the seat nicely, not show at all, and is the way custom seats are made to fit.
I find the seats nice and firm, but my Cathi has a siatic nerve problem, and this is what I am going to do to the passenger seat.
