Updates...

We are falling back to the Keep It Super Simple principle on registration and prizes. Since a Poker Run requires a bit more manpower than we can muster, and we are keeping Saturday really loose, we've decided to combine the two similar to how Lloyd and Gerry did in Springfield. So - your entry fee gets you an entry into the prize drawing, as well as a nice goody bag with event information and regional information. We will also be including event patches, and we have decided not to offer shirts for the event. Total registration would be $15 for everything - patch, goody bag, and prize drawing entry.

Saturday night banquet - this is still pending - the Stanley's offer was simply more expensive than we were comfortable with, and we are researching a couple other options. Our budget limit remains at $35 or lower.

Entry into Rocky Mountain National Park is $20 per car. This will need to be paid at the park entrance at time of entry. This allows you unlimited access for 7 days. If you have a National Park Service "all parks" pass, you can use that as well.

Other details:
We will meet at 8-8:30 in a single location Saturday morning for a drivers briefing and group photo - we have tentatively selected a visitor's center just inside Rocky Mountain National Park, but we are looking at alternate sites as well - including our parking area at the Stanley - that don't require getting into RMNP first. After the group photo, you are free to explore RMNP or Estes for the day. Caravans through the park are completely optional. The fact is Rocky Mountain National Park is very popular and very busy, and there's very little wiggle room to try to keep a group of cars together. Our recommendation is you can form an "informal" group if you like upon entry to the park, but I would expect members to leave the group at overlooks, turnoffs, visitors centers and scenic areas as they wish, and then continue through the park at their own pace. Hey - if you're only here once a year, why race through the park? Enjoy it!

That's the plan so far. You will be able to pay for the registration by paypal or by check or money order. Suggestions are welcome and appreciated! Just use the "Contact Us" form on the ColoradoSSR website, or send me a PM here.
