Electrical Problem

Hi, Kids...

Yesterday, it was warm so I pulled over into a parking lot to lower the top. I stepped on the brake and pushed the button. The usual clicking started then abruptly stopped.

A message scrolled by on the computer screeen that said, "Battery power too low."

Then, ALL my gauges went dead and most of the idiot lights came on.

I turned the truck off and let it sit there for a few minuts.

I restarted and everything came up... for about five seconds. Then, again, all my instruments went dead. The truck continued to run.

I took it to the Chevy dealer. They've been trying to figure the problem all day today. The electrical guy says he's getting hundreds of codes on the diag computer. He thinks it might be a short in the wiring for the top, but he's not sure.

Have any of you run into this? Do you know what the problem is? I need help on this one.
