Question Computer Tuning Do's & Don't

in another month or 6 weeks I should be taking 2004 automatic for the computer tuning after the 456 gears are installed.
Questions:
1. I know from reading the thresds that turning off the Torque Management should not be done. Whats good for the 04 auto?
2. By passing the O2 sensor should not be done.

I just want a decent tune to continue running 87 octane (poor boy lately), a little better shift points and recommendations for temperatures for the fan. Nothing fancy for now.
OH by the way, it has been putting some soot on the tailgate, so I will be leaning it out a little bit. The guy who is doing it does only GM vehicles and has a good reputation.
What else should I NOT consider doing?
Tips will be appreciated.
Thank You
