4 times yesterday- nuttin today!

Yesterday I put top down to go to echocardiograph, put up when arrived, put down when leaving, put up when home in garage, nice HUH! But 'NOT' today!!!! Won't go down fur nuttin'. Tonneau goes up, 2nd part flips down, some motor makes a sound like it wants everything to start moving, but all of a sudden I hear a loud click from right rear corner of top well and tonneau jumps like sumebody goosed it and "ROOF CYCLE TIMEOUT" comes on. I searched the forum and read the past solutions, tried some, but it still won't go down.
Now how do you get to check the fluid level. I can see the resvoir but no way can I get to it let alone see if it's full or low. Not a very clear plastic and the fluid is so I light I can't see any level with my big George Torch!!!
Why would it work yesterday and now quit? OK Dumb ? by me sorry. Straw that broke the Camels back! Guess I just take to dealer and pray.
