Just a update to this thread...

Hello to all Fanatics: Well ,wanted to give those of you that have a concern about
the oil leak issue with our SSR 's; turns out it was just the oil pan gasket leaking from the center rear to give the first indication that it was either the rear main seal or worse,a porosity issue,(oil seeping thru the block). In our case they
pulled the transmission inorder to inspect the rear of the engine block,so while they had to do all this intense labor,my local chevy dealer R&R'd the backing plate gasket, rear main and oil pan gasket all at the same time and because they had to remove the oil pan toR&R that gasket, she got fresh 6qts of mobile 1,so I am thankful that it was'nt a porosity issue, otherwise, they would have to replace the
block with new according to the Service Manager at the Chevy Garage. They put everything back nice and tight and clean, like nothing ever happened, that's always
a goooooood thing for sure!! When we take our vehicles in for service,we have
this terible habit of thought to think the worst, and I did,so the moral to this little
story is;there is a silver linning in every cloud of negativity,if we choose to look for it?! Free...oil change along with lots of TLC...Thank You Grey Chevrolet for a job
well done!!
