This is the 21 century you mean to tell me they can't make a motor that holds its fluids for at least 50K miles?? GM is simply making vehicles of poor quality today. The old slogan of "Its not your Fathers Oldsmobile" was quite correct Daddy's Olds was built with Quality Todays Olds.......Ahhhhh people stopped buying and GM stopped making,.. I wonder why GM??? This is just shameful in 2007 IMO. I just might go to the Dealer and demand a new engine since its been repaired before. I feel like stirring up some s-it over this issue now. I should think if the TSB fix didn't fix the problem and they are saying its a burred or porous block causing the leaks I should get a new motor that means the motor casting is defective.

This is typical Ricochet / Silver Sky banter. Bashing GM was a mission when you used those names, too, BetterMost.

Unless GM uses different material then the rest of the auto makers, this doesn't hold water either.
Get off the soapbox, BM. Your story ay have a different author but its just another chapter in the same ol tired book.
