'79 is not a classic body or engine, but if he likes the style, this is a good price. You can buy a complete GM spec wiring harness from HOT WIRES in Garland ( ex-GM electric engineer) cheap and it is completely color coded with good instructions. The engine is probably a 305 and parts are cheap and easy to get. Solid frame. Just test drive for other issues.
