Depressed And Need Counsel
I am depressed over the performance of my 2006 SSR. Perhaps I am a fanatic or possibly obsessed with horsepower. I guess it is all realative though. I have owned many prostreet vehicles over the years with the last one being a 650 plus Hp S10 Chevy prostreet truck.(*This was the de-tuned version after dyno guy toasted my 871 Supercharged motor which was in the truck making 1600 Hp!). When you put down the go pedal on the S10 it went, no hesitation, no windup on the motor, just the explosion of pure power.
All of the above being said power like that comes with a price. I finally got tired of the hot(Non airconditioned), Noisy(Dual 4" Flowmaster exhaust), Smelly(Methanol fumes) and decided to get a vehicle which I could comfortably drive in the Texas heat and actually hear my radio in.
Thus my decision to purchase an SSR. It is comfortable and I can actually hear the radio!! I am however suffering from horsepower withdrawal. I want my cake and eat it too. I want the horsepower and the rush of the supercharger as before, but don't want all of the negatives as mentioned above.
I need my fellow SSR fanatics counsel!!!
