Did you guys know we can get free gas for visiting Springfield? The Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau is offering free gas as part of a summer travel promotion. You can check out the details and download a form at
http://www.vacationspringfield.com/vacationspringfield. I found this today, looking for more info about the area. If you meet their 4 requirements and submit receipts, they'll mail you a $40 Visa giftcard. Our group will meet at least 2:
1. Most of our group is staying at least 2 nights at the Oasis, which is a participating hotel.
2. Spend at least $25 at participating restaurants. The Steak and Shake and Fire and Ice restaurants are on the list.
The other 2 requirements are a visit to the Bass Pro Shop to validate the promotion form (I don't think you have to buy anything) and purchase two tickets to their wildlife museum.
Just think... our large group could really do some damage to their promotions budget.
So remember...go to Springfield and get gas!
