and I can't repeat the exact word here, but it was a nefinite NO.
She has stayed in a couple pretty "divey" places with me in the last 10 years and I now know better than to try to convive her that "rustic", "nostalgic" and "rudimentary" (especially when couple with "inexpensive") is anything close to meeting her standards.
I turned the Winslow reservations over to her....
She checked the La Posada and found it fully booked. (Too bad, cuz it looked pretty neat) We ended up booking at the Holiday Inn Express for $82. It's as far away from the railroad as you can get and it looks nice and clean. Shell station is right across the street.
Has anyone researched breakfast??????
