Marc,
Thanks again for the information.
I bought my car as a "Certified" used car. However, the car was never titled and that was one of the reasons why I bought it, as it never had an "owner." Everything about the car was like if it was new, except there was mileage on it. The accessories were not installed, not even the front licence plate mount (which dealers were ususally screwed up installing).
It was treated like a "new" car in the eyes of my insurance company.
The dealer where I got the car wasn't the car's original dealer so I was curious as where this car was first delivered to. The information you provided answers to some questions but also raises some. It appears that the car went to a NC dealer on 5/20/05. It must have went right from there to where I bought it in VA because they had it coming to them in May 2005 (it had a May 05 inspection sticker on it). I bought on July 18, 2005, so they had it for two months.
What the information still doesn't show where was the car from it's build date of 07/30/04 to 05/20/05 when it shows a dealer first getting it. The other interesting point is that the warranty started on 02/05/05, which was what the dealer had told me. So I got the car with what was left on the warranty plus another 3,000 miles or three months because of the "Certified" status. Basically I only lost about 2 1/2 months or 6,000 miles of warranty from a real new SSR, which I thought wasn't bad for a used car.
Anyway, I'm still curious to where the car was before 05/20/05 and how the warranty got started on 02/05/05.
Do you think there's any information about that?
Thanks
Carl
