Kansas City juvenile to be tried as adult for murder in Jackson
Daily Record and the Kansas City Daily News-Press, Dec 1, 2006 by Daily Record Staff
A 16-year-old Kansas City boy was certified as an adult by a Jackson County Family Court judge and charged with second-degree murder on Tuesday.
Jaron A. Bradley was charged by Jackson County prosecutors in connection with the Oct. 14 shooting death of Matthew Tennant at 64th Street and College Avenue.
According to a police report, officers found Tennant, 44, behind the wheel of a truck at the intersection. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A K-9 unit tracked the trail of a person witnesses reported had run from the scene. The search ended at a home in the 6300 block of Indiana Avenue, where the police dog found a headband that his mother identified as Bradley's.
Fingerprints taken from inside the truck were matched to Bradley.
