I'm sure its got something to do with who your internet provider is and how you got your firewall set up, etc.
You may be right RRR...at home and at work there is a hardware firewall and I don't use the windows embedded firewall...at work I'm on a T-1 and home is Verizon DSL...the speed between the two is about even. Also, run XP Pro and have stayed away from Vista since it has a few kinks in it. Don't use my Mac for online...its for graphic work only
