I don't know if they are all the same but I found something that works and looks good. I recently replaced the factory oil cap on my 05 Harley Road King with one that has a temp guage in it. Saw the stock one lying on my work bench and noticed it looks about the same size as the 05 SSR. Tried it and it's a perfect fit! I did have to remove the dipstick from the HD cap but that was simple to do.
So I guess all the cool billet HD caps out there will work. They have an o-ring seal just like the SSR. I've been using mine for about a week and it stays in with no problem. I mention that because the SSR has an o-ring seal plus it also screws on. The HD only has an o-ring to hold it in but it stays in place.
