Same here . . . born and raised in Northeastern Iowa . . . freezin' my butt off doing my paper route every morning in the winter . . . fighting off the mosquitos as big as turkeys in the summer . . . don't miss it at all. Only go back these days to bury my relatives . . . only ONE left and she's 97 ! ! Tough ole gal, my Aunt, and she'll probably outlive me. 
I do, however, miss fishing on the Mississippi River, squirrel, deer and pheasant hunting, and making babies in the back seat of my Dad's '57 Chevy.  |
