We have 7 SSRs from Arizona and California coming in 2008, but with the dates for the Texas run in 2009 overlapping the Beach Cruise, we are planning to scale back the 2009 SSRs at the Beach Cruise to be a smaller northwest regional event for those unable to make it to Texas for
THE BIG ONE..
I believe the discussion in the past year has been to hold a national rally every two years.
Is it fair to assume that 2010 will be an off year?
If so, the 2010 Penticton Peach City Beach Cruise could be a very strong and well attended western regional event. I have no illusions that we would see any Florida or Georgia Fanatics make it all the way to the west coast, but crazier things have happened.
After all, if Fuji could make it all the way from San Diego to Maggie Valley, Copacetic Chris, Marc NY and Hot Rod Girld could lead convoys this far.
It's a beautiful area to visit, and hopefully the reports after the 2008 event will bear that out. We're blessed with beautiful clean lakes, orchards, vineyards, wineries and mountains.
I have had a few PMs recently from Fanatics thinking of coming to Penticton next year, but I don't want to have the event compete with the Texas rally, so would rather aim for 2010.
Any thoughts?
