pipes

I did my 03 last weekend for just over 15 dollars and 30 minutes of labor. The 03 and 04 have a different exhaust set up than the 05 and 06. The older models need an 18 inch piece of straight pipe ($5) and a 12" piece of flex ($6)
and 3 clamps ($4) from Pep Boys. I used a sawsall with a fine blade and cut the pipe just before the muffler input and just after the muffler output. I clamped on the straight pipe at the front then the flex pipe to the rear. The muffler is about 22 inches long then add about 2 inches each end for cutting room = 24 inches then 3 inches of overlap each end for clamping =30 inches.

My sounds incredible!! It is still much quieter than my 67 Chevy pickup with headers and dual Cherry Bombs.

Permagrin extended to infinity.
