Thumbs up

I was trying hard to stay out of this and let Dave do this, but he asked for my input.

Dave refrained from suggesting Saturday May 24th because we are working in a winery that day, and thusly are unavailable to do a winery run.

As for the 25th, we've committed to riding with friends in Rolling Thunder - the friends are moving out of the area and this is their last opportunity to participate. Plus, this will be my first group ride, and I'm looking forward to it. (And, yes, we're both aware of how thick the crowds will be.)

May 18th may be a little short notice for some folks, but Dave and I are available. Otherwise, I would recommend later in June because of work and travel schedules. I, too, prefer a Saturday run, to allow for Sunday rest time and house-cleaning. Plus, if our new friends in PA, MD, and NJ want to join us, they don't have to feel rushed to get back home to go to work the next day.

If people wish to go on the 18th, please PM Dave or me soonest. I will contact the wineries we are going to stop at and let them know we have a group coming in. If you can't make this run, I'm sure we can arrange for another winery run in early September (can't go after mid-September due to harvest season and we usually spend a lot of time helping out at the winery where we work part time).

Just as an information bit - most Northern Virginia wineries are open on Mondays that are federal holidays. Good information to have in the event you're in the area on a long weekend and want to check out one of VA's many fine wineries.

Take care, and don't forget to PM us soonest if you want to join us. By now, hopefully some of you have seen the post that Dave is buying Black Betty , but he has agreed to let Ed keep her until his mini comes in. So, he won't be driving Black Betty, but maybe Cruzned and Mrs Cruzned will join us for the run.
