I guess my wife is the best example of what an SSR does to you. First, she has a great job and could drive any car she wants. So, she buys a Toyota Echo a couple years ago because it was "cute" and got 38 mpg. No power windows, no power locks, no intermitant wipers, no cruise, but did have to have a spoiler- go figure. Obviously not particularly a car person though over 37 years she's always tolerated and supported my drag and street hot rods. Since I bought the 05 R red 6 speed she can't get enough of it. We hardly ever plan where we're going, and the more lost we get the better we like it. She's usually cold before I am, but the top must be down for her. She now agrees with the down time, along the way, to get the bugs off the frontend and windshield. She also now excepts the need to polish the billit wheels. She flat out loves this silly car as much as I do! Everyone that owns one also becomes more aware of personal grooming because you will be looked at and you will meet new people.
