Works out to a 20 cents/mile "beating" the seller of the Texas truck ($18,000) on ebay is taking over the LaStrap ($29,950) truck. Usually when a SELLER takes a "beating" the BUYER benefits.
71,842 miles Original Post truck minus 10,000 miles Texas ebay truck = 61,842 miles
61,842 miles Texas ebay truck minus 2,338 LaStrap truck = 59,504 miles
59,504 miles divided INTO $11,950 ($29,950 - $18,000)LaStrap price less ebay truck price.
20 cents per mile "premium" to buy the LaStrap truck over the Texas ebay truck.
All other things being EQUAL, I would buy the Texas truck for much less and eat the miles. Others, MOST DEFINITELY, take a different view of this purchasing problem.  |
