3 - The ferry crosses. Not very far, so the wait wasn't too bad. $4 one way per vehicle.
4 - local shop at the ferry crossing. Gary already posted a similar picture. Boggles the mind to think how high the water was! When we reached the VA side of Great Falls, they had a post there with high water marks that were at least 50-60 feet above river level!
