Guys, a shop tour is not gonna be a problem, I just have to clear it with my Boss. We have a bunch of cool stuff going on. Some things mild, some things WILD!

Bummer part is that the SSR is currently in small pieces. Fenders, hood , grille etc. are in work off the truck. So what you would see is just a jumble of parts. Other than the new bedside skin, rear lower body panel and the mods to the doors, there is really nothing to see. The owner of the truck isn't even comming to see.

I see no reason why the tour can't happen after or late in the prep for paint stage while still together for the most part.

I expect to assemble the project at least three more times before it gets painted. At that point it will take another 6 weeks to assemble. We have a target of late oct for completion so there is plenty of time.

I encourage all of you to check out the HRCS website and look at the current projects page. Most of this stuff you will be seeing in magazines over the next year or so. A great deal of the completed projects you may have already seen, for instance the Mike Richards '32. (Another of my Babies) Please forgive the shameless plug

This will have to happen on a saturday unfortunatly, as during the week I have to umm, work.

Couple more things, The owner of the project wants to sell the chrome wheels that are being relpaced, anybody interested? I have no idea of the value, I know he said he paid a pile for the set on his '05 SSR.

Also, the manual release tool is missing for the top, (supposed to be in the glovebox,.. but ain't). So I can't open the top (no electrics yet), Anyone in the area willing to swing by and let me borrow the tool for 15 seconds? We could do it on a saturday! LOL! Hell, I'll buy lunch and show off the shop! If you can help, call me at 760-745-1170. Stupid tool is a one off and only available from the factory, kicker is I only need the damn thing once!

Wow, that was a lot of babbling, I'll check back soon.

Later, Scott
