we have more GARBAGE (bio-degradeable) in our dumps than we know what to do with so why are they not mandating that we use that protien to ethanol source instead of just burying it???????????
does 1 + 1 = 1.75 now? someone is coming up short these days........

The Garbage Dumps should all be used for recovering Methane, which is a gas, not a liquid. Some City's such as LA. are using the Methane to power their Electrical Generation Plants. Every County and City should be doing this.
I haven't heard of it being done in my area as of yet. Instead they want to dig them up and recover the waste products for recycling. Some Company has come up with an Automatic Sorter that can Differentiate the Materials buried. Plastics, Metals, paper and so on. This Company thinks it can make a big profit and share it with the Government agency's that let them Have the rights to the Materials buried there. Just my opinion that sounds Scary. Just think of the Toxic Chemicals buried there, let alone the possibility of an explosion due to the Methane. I would not work there.
