He mentioned LaQuinta, right on the beach, pool, parking, good rate, and we can put chairs on the walk and watch the cars go by.
As soon as this info comes to me I will post it, or maybe, Dave will post it.

Thanks Dick
My bad, my Fanatic Friends.
This evening is the first I have been on the SSR site since Kim and I were in Daytona. I have called a couple of you and let you know sorta whats happening. However, I have been in contact with the final 2 places, one of which will be where Kim and I will be staying during the Daytona Dream Cruise. They have been busy with the Daytona Race and requested a little time from me. I am treating them as a car dealer and I'm looking for a real deal.
I should have the final deal tomorrow after I talk with the General Manager's one more time...
I hope those of you who want to stay on the beach instead of the Hilton at the racetrack, will be Happy Fantics...

Grapevine, Grapevine, Grapevine

.
I have heard through the Grapevine that someone or someones are not happy with me doing what I did in Daytona last week and my saying,
"Kim and I will be eating Seafood with a view and staying on the beach during our stay in Daytona in October 2008."
To set the record straight...
I am not trying to take over the Daytona Dream Cruise. I live on the Georgia Alabama line. 500+ miles away!
I do know Daytona as much as anyone from the Georgia Alabama line.
I have been there more than 50 times.
Our youngest daughter met her husband there. Alison was 8 and Jason 12. He was from Athens Georgia home of the BULLDOGS. They married when she was 22 and he was 26, two years ago.
I do know where to eat and stay in Daytona as much as anyone from the Georgia Alabama line.
I did take some time from our vacation in Daytona the last week of June to check and recheck a few places to stay on the beach during the Dream Cruise. I made Kim go with me to check my final 3 places out. I probably didn't need it, but I got the "Womenfanatics Point Of View". I felt I owed them since I made them drive us "menfanatics" home after our seafood dinner with a view, talk, laugh, hug, handshake, and a drink Saturday the 21st of June. No one else helped me.
I will be saying on the beach, A1A, Atlantic Avenue, the same road the Dream Cruise will be "cruising". A few of my "bestest" Fanatics called and PM'd that you will be staying with Kim and I.
I will not be driving that Saturday evening but will be setting up my trusty SSR chair with drink holder and cooler on the sidewalk of the Dream Cruise "cruise".
I will have my morning coffee looking at the ocean.
My room will probably not be quite as nice as the Racetrack Hilton, but will be better for me for what I want to do with it.
I have talked to the General Manager's so much, they wants to hang out with us. (I do have the gift or curse of Gab, remember I was a undercover cop)
I want to invite any of my SSR Fanatic Friends and SSR Fanatic Loved Ones who might not want to say at the Hilton at the racetrack to join Kim and I on the beach. If you don't like the beach, thats ok. We will still be friends.
I DON'T LIKE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT ME ON A GRAPEVINE BEHIND MY BACK... I would rather have you talk to me...
I should have the final details tomorrow after one more conversation with the General Manager's and will post what we have come up with.
Please stay where you want to. The Hilton is nice. I stayed there in March for the show that was at the Racetrack. I'm more of a beach person than a Hilton person.
I want one and should have almost earned my personal "Florida paSSRport".
I just invented it
