American Axle is I am pretty sure what GM used for factory gears, and Strange is always high qualoty, bu probably lots more expensive than the American Axle. The key to success is REALLY good installation by someone VERY EXPERIENCED in rear axle setup specifically. If it's done wrong, it will be noisy at best, and shortlived at worst.

Use a good synthetic (for minimized power loss) rear axle lubricant.
