If someone is familiar with the area, its near Road Atlanta, they couod scout for a place to meet & eat.

Ha, you beat me to mentioning this one! I had thought of this one as an option for the group.

Yes, I knew there is a cruise-in in that area once a month from April to October- (I thought it was in Hoschton, though). I will check the website to see if that is the same one I've seen listed on the American Street Rods' site.

It is kinda/sorta in my area (what with me living in South Hall, and btw my dad was born in the old hospital in Hoschton.)

There is not a lot going in there in the way of cool places to eat, though. I guess maybe the group could meet at Sonic in Oakwood (really bad traffic and horrendous road construction but it's right beside I-985) or Flowery Branch (not so much traffic but out-of-the-way from highways, but still easy to find though) and make a country-side road trip over to Braselton/Hoschton? If the cruise-in is indeed the one of which I am thinking in Hoschton then there is a Johnny's Pizza at the cruise-in locale. And there is the ubiquitous Cracker Barrel at Hwy 53 and I-85.

I don't know. I am not a good party hostess.

It is too freakin' hot around here to attempt this sort of thing in August, so don't even think about that idea!!
