Transmission trouble

Need help I have 2005 ssr with auto and LS-2 with 2400 miles, all options plus Delphi Navigation with backup camera and auto dimming rear view mirror from JP customs as a package wiring and all very sanitary install. Also has aluminum high capacity deep sump transmission pan. On the last outing my engine light came on and I noticed that the truck starts out in second gear and shifts very firmly to third and never gets into overdrive, it will freewheel if I let off the gas on OD but under power it will not shift up nor will it shift down to first, I also tried manual shift but first shows on the dash but it is still in second. I hooked up to a scan tool at a local shop and He found a PO-973 code which in the library said that at some point I had a voltage drop to the second shift solenoid of 4.8 seconds or more. Any help insight of what to look for would be great. He reset the code but it never took and after the second start the engine light was back on, the check section of wires and voltages to check is beyond me so I thought if someone else had similiar problem it would be much appeciated. feel free to call 541-276-1252 or e-mail if you give me your number I will call and explain more tests I have done. Thanks Dave Banzer
