Yeah, I was thinking something along this line, using high heat tape, glueing in the edges with a thin line of epoxy, then giving it multiple coats of high heat paint.
I already have a new set of underhood decals; the ones on the blanket now appear to have been installed when my truck's original owner was highly intoxicated!
As these are all things I have around the house, this means no unnecessary $$$ going out!
One thing about it, it cannot look worse than it does now. It can only get better.
