My SSR:
UV SSR My other SS is a 64 Malibu LA built Black Plate Car

Vicki I too had the same issue with the tear and fixed it with black window screen material.
remove the blanket
After folding the screen material over the torn area sew around the perimeter. Reinstall. Mine is barely noticable.
