LTs SSR, I'm sorta like you, I like to listen for the different sounds of the vehicle. In the 1970's on the GM first down sizing of large cars, I spent 4yrs on the Noise and Vibration Committee. We would ride the prototypes listening for annoying sounds. It is amazing how one can learn to pickout specific sounds, like alternator whine, shock absorber jounce, fan, radiator wind rush, window/door wind noises, etc. I still can pick out many of the sounds that I learned to identify. We would also come up with solutions for the ones deemed offensive, but the ultimate decision (to fix or not to fix)was always made by people who didn't know didly about what they were deciding (sorta like the folks in DC).
