Dave, it would be worth traveling to a bigger town with a qualified and experienced staff than to take chances with the group you described. You can go online to the ATRA website and see if there is a shop in your area. Members of this organization will generally be professional and serious about transmission repair. I will be going out of town till August 10th but if you would like to call our shop and talk to a tech our number is 817-599-7680. Sorry I don't have a more specific answer for you.
