Absolutely, 100% better traction. I had complained and whined about breaking traction in the slightest of wet. Especially when taking a gradual left turn under some light acceleration. Broke loose more than a Ford Explorer with bald tires.
Got the Toyo's and they are superb. I now feel safe when there is one of our 15min showers. We don't get snow - just a shower and it keeps the flowers blooming all year so no complaints there...but the Toyo tires are squeaky... meaning they "chirp" on just a little' bit of a launch...which I think is cool. Photo 1) is the Toyo tire for the rear. photo 2) is the tire on the rear of the SSR. Click on thumbnail - then click on the back of the tire for enlargement view.
