I had my SSR about five months and with brand new OEM tires had a blowout. I had to walk a half mile up a hill to get Cell reception to call GM. It took the guy on the Roadside Assistance 20 minutes just to figure out where in Missouri I was. He then sent a tow truck out in about an hour and they had to tow it to a Chevy dealer. It took 3 days to get a new tire sent to the dealer. The good things were that it was still warm in MO., it was daylight, They did not charge me for the tow and the dealer didn't hijack me for storage or on the cost of dismounting and mounting the spare(and the wheel and tire had to be sent to a tire place to mounted and balanced). Just today i got my spare tire and wheel cause it could have been a lot worse. Got an Envoy aluminum 18 x 8 wheel $60 and a Pirelli 255/55r/18 tire $35 which I'll put in the bed until Spring and then maybe attempt an under bed location. This tire/wheel combo is 1/4" diameter smaller than the rear and 1" larger than front. I'll give it a good work out on the front when the weather isn't below zero like it is today to be sure there's NO clearance issues on curves and bumps on the front and the 1/4 inch on the back is no issue. It works for me>
