If you can't figure out the Word doc, this is the procedure I used and posted last fall.....

No disrespect intended HRG

The way I did it is this:

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the battery at the jump box.
2. Tilt the steering wheel all the way up, and turn the ignition key to the "run" position.
3. Remove the tilt lever by pulling straight out on it.
4. Remove two (2) # 25 torx bolts from the underside of the bottom shift console cover.
5. Pull the console cover down and then forward. Be careful not to damage the alignment tabs.
6. Remove the ignition switch by pulling the black plastic keeper toward the front of the vehicle. The keeper looks like a "J". Pull down on the switch, you might need to jiggle it. It should fall out of the hole.
7. Disconnect the ignition wire connector plug from the switch.

REPLACEMENT

1. Compare the old switch to the new one, make sure the white plastic gear in the new switch is in the same position as the old one.
2. Connect the ignition wire plug to the new switch.
3. Push the new switch up into the hole the old switch was in, make sure it is in all the way. It will not move when it's properly positioned.
4. Replace the shift console cover. Make sure you align the tabs in the front of the cover with the upper cover or it won't fit snugly. If it does not fit together tightly, it's either in wrong or you have damaged one or more of the tabs.
5. Replace the tilt lever.
6. Turn the key to the "off" position.
7. Re-connect the battery cable.

Hope this helps.....I know about the damage to the tabs on the shift console cover because I tried to pry it down, not realizing it was held in place by the torx bolts.
