I wonder if this is just a repackaged version of "collision wrap" that RaticalSSR had mentioned sometime last year. That's the stuff they use to "tie up" loose parts on cars as they're being towed away from a wreck scene so they're not falling off all over the place.
Since I'll need to pull my clear film off to repair some minor damage, this stuff might be the ticket for the long trips rather than pay for the film all over again (boy was it pricey too!).
