Norton - AV
Norton...360 Anti Virus. For the third time in 18 months my daughter had one of those bogus pop up warning her of a virus and she mishandled it ...again. It wasn't a Norton warning but this time from laptopantivirus.net. Result: a trojan.pidief.G and trojan.fake.AV and a possible rootkit (which I recenlty learned can be real bad.) A scan by Norton quarantined both but I don't think completely eradicated it. I've run Malware Bytes and HiJackThis, created log text files from both scans and have tried getting them to the experts on the Norton forum via an attachment. They can't figure out why I can't attach files or edit previous posts. I told them I'd verify that I can still do it here.
