Yes, the flap is attached at the bottom to the back cover (inside). If it would help, I can mail you a used cover (it's just a cheap plastic thing that we get when we order new check blanks). If you want me to do that, PM your snail mail address.

If needed, we could get by without the flap (especially if I'm the only one) and just carry a small plastic flap from an old checkbook cover.
