I wasn't able to go two years ago, and having just watched the films from Northwest Steam Excursions, I invite all of you to join in as well !!

Just got to Vancouver - returning from 10 days on Oahu and Maui. The weather was better there.
I had called the Kettle Valley office last summer before they published their schedule, trying to get them to do a Great Train Robber/Barbecue on Sunday the 27th.
Unfortunately, because everyone in the Garnet Valley Gang is a volunteer, the schedule didn't work out.
They will have their regular afternoon train running Sunday at 1:30 PM, but not with the BBQ/Robbery. The ride is about 90 minutes.
If there's enough interest, we could start a separate sign-up thread. Cost is $21/person. A group reservation with 20 or more will bring it down to $18/person.
I also checked about a chartered run, but the cost was prohibitive - $2750 plus the cost of chartering the Garnet Valley Gang, IF they were available, plus the cost of the catered BBQ - we'd have to have at least 125 people to make that work out.
Here's a link to their website.
