Oh Well!

I wanted a matched set of tires, not two brands, and wanted the sizes the truck came with. I was going to by the Firestones, but didn't want to blow a tire and not be able to get a replacement because they were discontinued. I was going to buy Toyo Proxies, same story, no matching 255/45/19. Other brands had the rear tires but not the fronts.

So I went back to the Goodyears. Not my first choice, but as it turned out the only choice that had the tires. I got them at Tire Easy.com. $96 each for the RSA 255/45/19, $300 each for the RSA 295/40/20. $892 with shipping to Misssippi. I have a Firestone Store that is going to install , lifetime road force balance good at any Firestone store for $80. $972 out the door.

I guess I really can't complain about the Goodyears, 30,000 miles, good tread still left on the front, but a plug repair in the edge area is a weak spot, the rears still have fairly good tread, but one has 2 plug/patch repairs, one close to the sidewall.
