starting problems
I took the advice of HarleyGuy.
I cleaned the ground wire ends and tightened the 2 bolts attaching the two ground wires (one grounds the chassis and one grounds the body) from the negative battery cable. I also cleaned the ground and positive connections at the battery.
I had previously replaced the original battery and the ignition switch.
Since then, I have not had any of the intermitant ocasional starting problems.
