That's actually a surprisingly low price on that truck. It originally sold for $125000 in 2003, sold for $45000 in November at the McDorman auction.
It did not meet reserve at $44000 in December at another Mecum auction.
For the reserve to be pulled at $40500 this time around was very surprising.
Figure in the freight costs alone to move it across the country twice, and someone took a bath on it.
Signature 5 is scheduled to sell Sunday afternoon. Still have time to get phone bidder credentials.
If you're looking for a Signature, and assuming the same ownership on it, it could sell for a comparable price.
Sig 5 was very well documented, with the scrapbook and lots of extras in the trunk when we checked it out at McDormans. It was in excellent condition, with only one small chip on the hood.
It's unfortunate I'm still on thin ice financialy. It's killing me to see them sell this low.
